Baskerville

A Sherlock Holmes comedy/mystery by Ken Ludwig
Directed by Neville Worsnop

Century Theatre Guild opens a new season on September 7 with the comedy/mystery, “Baskerville”. Basing the play on The Hound of the Baskerville’s, perhaps the best loved and most famous Sherlock Holmes story, comedic genius Ken Ludwig has transformed Conan Doyle’s classic into a murderously funny adventure.

Local legend has it that the male heirs of the Baskervilles have been dispatched one by one by a huge and deadly hound which roams the Devon moors. When the latest heir arrives from Texas, our intrepid investigators – Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson brave the desolate moors to find the killer, along the way coping with a dizzying web of locations, characters, clues, silly accents, weird disguises and deceit.

See just how far from “elementary” the truth can be!
