Reggie, Wilf and Cecily live in a home for retired opera singers. Each year the residents give a concert to celebrate Verdi’s birthday. Jean, who used to be married to Reggie, arrives and disrupts the equilibrium. She still acts the diva, and refuses to sing. But the show must go on. The back stories of these four engaging characters are revealed in a play both funny and poignant.
A recent hit film based on this play was a huge success. In the play, however, both characters and story have far more depth.
